Delivering Excellence in Rotational Moulding
In Rotational Moulding a charge of the required material is placed in a mould, which is either cast or CNC machined aluminium. The mould is set to rotate slowly and is then placed in a heated oven. During this process the heat penetrates the mould causing the material to become adhered to the inner surface of the mould. When the heating cycle is complete, the mould is cooled, then opened and the moulding removed. A Rotational Moulding is therefore a hollow, seam-free shape with a relatively even wall thickness. The outside surface can be produced with virtually any detail. Mouldings can be any colour, and can be subsequently machined by Robot/CNC to the desired shape. Metal components can be placed in the mould and be incorporated into the final shape.
