Rotational mouldings in the food and drink industries
There is a huge number of uses for rotationally moulded plastic products in the food and drink industries. From farms to factories, hotels to hospitals, restaurants to supermarkets, any industry that deals with food and drink can benefit from rotationally moulded items.
Food and drink manufacture and distribution
The RM process is ideal for manufacturing hollow plastic items such as IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) for the distribution of oil, wine, and other liquids. Cleanable Pallets, hot/cool storage boxes (using internal PU foam insulation), and ingredients bins and trolleys are other common applications.
Catering and retail
Larger units such as soft drinks kiosks and Pick 'n' Mix containers can be made simply and inexpensively using rotational moulding.
Components for more complex food and drink products such as vending machines, refrigeration units and ice machines may be rotomoulded. Examples include, water and ingredients tanks, coin and ingredient feed tubes and funnels, outer covers which can be insulated or simply cosmetic, and even the chassis and entire outer structure.
